Pretty accurate

This is aunt Beth and her baby belly. I wrote "Beth" on a piece of paper and let her copy it - she decided to throw in a backward "e" just for kicks.

Fun things about our new house...

We had our friends Teale and Derek over for dinner last Friday night. After we had eaten and everybody got up to start taking the dishes to the sink, Alan took the opportunity to slip into the bathroom. He closed the door, then opened the door, and said, "Ruth, you need to come see this." My first thought was that it was my cell phone in the toilet (Neiv has been into the toilet water some lately). Then Alan says, "No I think everyone should come and see this."

Since then, frogs in the potty has been a hot topic for Abra. We are riding down the road and she suddenly says, "Mommy, I don't like to go potty when there is a frog in the potty." And then
right before bed, "Mommy, I don't want that frog in the potty to come upstairs and get me."

I assure her that all frogs are nice frogs. As far as I know.

Little bookworms

Abra and Juliet. A match made in heaven.
If they were all this easy, I'd have 10.
But.....Neiv.

More Magnadoodle

She did this one right before Oliver was born. First picture with all family members represented.

Strange looking characters but isn't she cute?

The faces of Oliver

Aunt Nora gave us these super cute onesies although I feel as though I need to clarify that it isn't completely true. I would put Oliver at about 30% fun at this point. A bit of a crab most of the day. But it is getting better (or I have learned to better manage it). Regardless, this stage does not last long and before I know it, he will be running and playing and trying to keep up with his sisters. I am trying to enjoy him at this age despite his neediness. He is rather cute of course.

Just when you thought I gave up blogging...

Self portrait

One day several weeks ago, Abra was looking through the viewfinder at some slides of snow white and the 7 dwarfs. She tells me that she is having a hard time seeing the images. I explained how she needs to point it toward the light and it will make the pictures much easier to see. She did this and was very impressed. A few minutes later she put the viewfinder underneath a blanket that was sitting next to her on the couch. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "I'm letting them go to sleep." :-)
