Aunt Nora gave us these super cute onesies although I feel as though I need to clarify that it isn't completely true. I would put Oliver at about 30% fun at this point. A bit of a crab most of the day. But it is getting better (or I have learned to better manage it). Regardless, this stage does not last long and before I know it, he will be running and playing and trying to keep up with his sisters. I am trying to enjoy him at this age despite his neediness. He is rather cute of course.

Just when you thought I gave up blogging...

One day several weeks ago, Abra was looking through the viewfinder at some slides of snow white and the 7 dwarfs. She tells me that she is having a hard time seeing the images. I explained how she needs to point it toward the light and it will make the pictures much easier to see. She did this and was very impressed. A few minutes later she put the viewfinder underneath a blanket that was sitting next to her on the couch. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "I'm letting them go to sleep." :-)

Fanny-pack cuties

I picked up a purple princess fanny-pack at a garage sale last year that Abra has always used as a purse. It has been a favorite item so when I saw a similar one in pink at a garage sale the other month, I thought the $.50 would be worth each of the girls having their own one day to avoid arguments. Then Abra discovered somehow that you are actually supposed to put them around your waist instead of carrying it like a purse. So I snapped them on for the both of them and I discovered quickly why fanny-packs were such a hit back when function trumped form. The girls think they are super cool AND useful. Neiv loves to try and cram things 3xs too big in hers and Abra will use hers as a diaper bag for baby Alice. At least they will be ready if we decide to up and take them on a trip to Europe.

Mothers day gift

Anita got me a very cool Mother's day gift this year. She brought some pots and flowers and had the girls attempt to do their handprints on the sides. Great idea and Abra at least had fun making hers. Neiv still tries to pick all the flowers off of the stems and dumps the water down her front when she "waters" them. We'll see how long it takes me to kill them...
